Readers
and Society Today
Reading is better than goggling information on the
internet. Reading is a fundamental or basic tool of learning and it is the act
of getting information in certain literature. However, goggling in the internet
is easy and fast but not sure and reliable. Getting information in the internet
is fast because you can get specific answers immediately for your questions
unlike in reading literature, you should skim, scan, interpret and summarize it
before you find out the answers.
Today, even though most of all people are using
technology for learning; it is still important to gain knowledge by the act of
reading literature because commonly all of the information inside the internet
is from the book too and all of the passage in the internet is in the form of
literature too. According to Ncz, 2017 (https://brainly.ph/question/612174), reading literature is more important
than googling information on the internet because: Google is not a reliable website, anyone can
alter and manipulate the body of any literary article online, reading
literature books will enhance the logic and critical thinking of the reader, reading
via Googled article using gadgets that has radiation might affect the brain's
natural functions, googling tempts the reader to skip and search for shortcuts
or summaries of any literary article, reading literature will enhance one's
comprehension and vocabulary because the reader will not search for the
summarized article but only the words to understand more the literary material.
Therefore, it is still important to read literature
now-a-days than goggling information on the internet but they are both in the
act of reading and they have common denominator of benefits and advantages it’s
just that there are many disadvantages in googling on the internet so
preferably it is much better if we read book or literature rather. Reading literature
is more challenging than searching because you will read the entire story or passage
before you get the thought. Through this we are enhancing our comprehension and
we are building our vocabulary skills.
